The Elder Scrolls Online Cast Revealed
Bethesda Software is one of the elite developers in the gaming industry. Their series of Elder Scrolls games (Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim) have won countless awards and have seen ports on numerous consoles as well as the PC market. As we move into the next generation of gaming consoles, the gaming world was more than eager to hear that their new ambitious MMORPG was set to make its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as PC. Named Elder Scrolls Online, the game is easily one of the biggest gaming releases in 2014.
Recently, Bethesda’s development blog revealed the excellent A list actors that will be supplying the voices for this massive game. The list includes Academy Award nominee John Cleese (“A Fish Called Wanda,” “Monty Python and the Holy Grail“), Golden Globe winner Bill Nighy (“Pirates of the Caribbean”), Kate Beckinsale (“The Aviator,” “Pearl Harbor”), Alfred Molina (“Spider-Man 2″) and Golden Globe nominees Michael Gambon (“Harry Potter”), and Malcolm McDowell (“A Clockwork Orange”). Even the original Wonder Woman herself, Linda Carter, reprises her role from Skyrim as Azura, the Daedric Princess of Dusk and Dawn.
“This extraordinary group of actors helps bring the distinctive characters in The Elder Scrolls Online to life,” said Matt Firor, game director of The Elder Scrolls Online. “In The Elder Scrolls tradition, we sought world class talent to add a deep and enriching component to the immersive world the series offers players.”
Set 1,000 years before the events of Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online is going to feature a huge landmass with epic player versus player battles that could help reshape the landscape of the fantasy world of Tamriel. Elder Scrolls Online is set for release on PC starting in April 2014 while next gen consoles will see their portal open in June 2014. There is a $15 month subscription to play and multiple payment options will be available upon release.
