Imani Hakim Set to Star in Lifetime’s “Gabby Douglas Story”
Eleven-year old actress Imani Hakim who landed the role as Tonya Rock on the UPN/CW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris is all grown up!
The now 20 year-old famed actress has definitely become a beauty crush and is about to make the whole world flip with her starring role in the Lifetime Original Movie “The Gabby Douglas Story” , produced by Sony Pictures Television.

The movie details the inspiring true story of the international gymnastics phenomenon, who overcame overwhelming odds to become the first African American ever to be named Individual All-round Champion in artistic gymnastics at the Olympics. Hakim will play Gabby Douglas, as a teenager and young adult.
The cast also includes Sydney Mikayla (Whitney) who will portray Douglas during her childhood, Peabody Award Winner Regina King (Southland) as her mother and Golden Globe® and Emmy® winner S. Epatha Merkerson (Law & Order) as her grandmother.
“The Gabby Douglas Story” is set to premiere Saturday, February 1 at 8pm ET/PT on Lifetime.
