What To Expect New On GTA V’s PS4 and Xbox One Release
One of the highest and best selling franchises in video game history is set to launch on the NEW current gen systems next week. Grand Theft Auto 5 set all kinds of sales records last year with its Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 release. This go around, Rockstar Games is hoping for a similar response as those gamers who chose to upgrade their consoles will possibly upgrade their Grand Theft Auto experience as well.
To compliment that desire, Rockstar has made a number of improvements in hopes of luring last gen owners and new fans to Los Santos. So, let’s take a look at EVERYTHING that will be different from the existing version:
- Up to 30 Player Mayhem
When it comes to the GTA Online experience, all of the different modes and jobs will have double the player action than before. On the Xbox One and Playstation 4, the chaos that can be experience will assuredly be on overdrive!
- New Character Creation options
Not 100% certain what this means aside from possibly having the ability to edit your character’s face or hair styles or something of that nature. It will be interesting to see if that is the case or if the method of customizing your character was changed.
- GTA Online First Person Experience
Earlier, it was revealed that the Story mode for the game was going to have a first person mode to completely change how you experience the game. It has recently been expanded as an option in the GTA Online mode as well. Of course, there is the option to remain in the classic 3rd person mode though.
- Double the ‘Props’ in the Creator Tool
One of the major parts of the Rockstar Social Club community is that it is extremely active in creating new maps or jobs and such. With the addition of more ‘props’ I’m certain that will mean more things to dodge, destroy, and fly around as the nearly 10 million original custom jobs are sure to grow!
FINALLY, the job we’ve all been waiting for that was such a fun portion of the Story Mode is coming to GTA Online for ALL platforms next week! I’ve mentioned before how this aspect of GTA really made the ‘side missions’ of the game fun in the single player mode so it will be interesting to see how this job is done. With characters all having skills and people trying to recruit others for specific jobs, strategy will be needed to evade the cops and get away with the stash! Should be interesting to see this finally executed in-game online!
For those playing on the PS4, there are a few unique DualShock 4 features that will be available:
- Access GTA Online’s interaction menu by holding the DualShock 4’s touch-pad
- Phone calls and police radio sounds will emit from the DualShock 4’s speaker
- Swipe the touch-pad up or down to change weapons
- Swipe the touch-pad left or right to change the radio station
- The DualShock 4 light bar will flash red and blue when you have a Wanted level
Also, PC owners will have to twiddle their thumbs until January 27th, 2015 and its release has been delayed. Apparently, Rockstar is anticipating glitches and problems both on Story and Online mode and want to have the resources to address them quickly.
