On NBC’s Sing-Off:
The Sing Off was an amazing experience. We didn’t realize how much we could do until we did it there. It also provided an opportunity for us to be a ‘witness’ as Christians. Members of other groups would come to us and ask us if they could pray with us. We didn’t come to the show for that but it was a great way to be an example to people without preaching, simply by the way we lived.

On where a capella groups fit within today’s music industry:
People will look at us, see 5 black guys and automatically think we are a R&B or gospel group. You can’t define our sound because we are so versatile which opens up the door for creativity. If you’re trying to put “Committed” into a ‘box’…good luck. We’ve sang to old white people, young black people at corporate events and hood events (Laughs).

Why a Committed Christmas EP:
The motive for the recording of this project was to make something light, fun and that feels like ‘home’. The album features everything from silly tracks such as “The Chipmunk Song“ to popular Christmas classics. We included a little splash of everything to keep this well-rounded where everyone will be able to enjoy it. This is an album we are very proud of because we put a lot of thought and hard-work into it. It’s the best we’ve released.

“Home For Christmas” hosts robust vocal harmonies composed in a way that encourages one to sing-along. Their selection of songs makes it an easy contender to act as the holiday ambiance while wrapping gifts, signing cards and spending time with family.

Committed is slated to return to the studio in January and begin the process of  recording their next full-length album. The group hinted at the possibility of introducing musical instrumentation and potential collaborations with guests artists. Heed proclaims “Home For Christmas” to be a audible gift and highly anticipates the group’s next release.
