Geekswagg LIVE Ep. 69 -Sippin The Purple LEMONADE
The Grim Phreaker and Bunneh3000 have a heartfelt discussion of the passing of Prince as well as Beyoncé’s powerfully made visual album LEMONADE.
Regarding Prince, Bunneh3000 refers to reads a passage from Toure’s book I Would Die 4 U: Why Prince Became An Icon. As a die hard fan, Bunneh3000 really got the feels in a way that he did not expect. His explanation of the impact that Prince had in helping him find himself embodies what great art and music can and always will do.
Thinking about how we mourn artists we’ve never met. We don’t cry because we knew them, we cry because they helped us know ourselves.

During the discussion about Beyoncé’s LEMONADE, The Grim Phreaker speaks about how the content of Beyoncé’s music was a trigger for emotions that she didn’t even realize she had bottled up concerning her own past. Once again, great art finds a way to help us in ways we often don’t appreciate or even recognize. In that discussion, Bunneh3000 refers to an absolutely BEAUTIFUL explanation of the importance of Beyoncé’s new album and how it related to the life of the author (Dominique Matti) entitled Why LEMONADE Is For Black Women Despite Centering A Man’s Misdeeds.
