World of Warcraft enters in epic-fashion at the onset of the film. You literally see the opening credits and then “BOOM” you’re thrown straight into the action with a well-developed storyline that is surprisingly fairly easy to follow wether you’re a gamer or not. Fighting and fantasy drives the movie drawing inspiration from Lord of The Rings and Thor – both successful formulas for an intended blockbuster franchise.

Paula Patton who portrays video game character Garoner, a half-breed being of human and orc descent. Garoner’s character brings a deeper universal meaning to what the worlds are fighting against and for as she’s stuck in between the right and wrong of both species. Paula’s character also delves into what it means to be mixed in the “real-world” and how that individual often-times isn’t fully accepted by either side. It’s a fact that’s hard to face in a time when we should be more advanced and inclusive as a people. World of Warcraft is an overall great film for the entire family.
