Electrifying and upbeat vibes with soul and R&B undertones is the pulse to Nola Ade‘s voice and music. As a Chicago-based artist, Nola Ade sings about the necessity of love on her EP, The Love Dance. Upon first listen, Nola reminds me a lot of Chrisette Michele with Jazmine Sullivan leanings. Heck, I might even throw Lauryn Hill in that vocal mashup. Basically, the girl can sing!
Of her new EP she says,
“Cliché or not, love is something that we all need to function. It’s something that we all are looking for. It’s something that we as people are lacking enough of because we’re afraid to talk about how much we need it. And the songs I wrote in The Love Dance EP aren’t just about the part of love that feels good, but the parts of love that can hurt too…“
Nola Ade recently headlined the Budweiser Stage lineup at the 2016 Taste of Chicago. Her set included several songs from her EP, which is available on all digital retailers such as iTunes, CD Baby, and Google Play.
