I wanted to play with the idea of being “the other” the quirks that make us stand out from the crowd. So, what better idea than to photograph Wilnor Tereau, a beautiful dark skinned male model in bold designs and prints in a barbershop? The barbershop to me is a sanctuary, a place where men and women from all ‘walks of life’ are welcomed. A place that understands creativity and innovation. This piece is an ode to those who embrace “the other’’ in them unapologetically.
