Haiti – Is “Lifted Up”

For the citizens of Haiti, January 12, 2010 probably started the same as any other. Markets opening, people joking and laughing, just making their way through the day. But then, in the late afternoon, the ground began to shake. In only a minute’s time, the initial quake subsided, but Haiti’s horizon had drastically changed.

With three Grammy nominated albums and an international reputation, Natalie “Floacist” Stewart’s new project Floetic Soul manages to stand as one of the strongest urban recording projects released this year, fulfilling the lofty expectations of critics and fans alike.

STEPH JONES: “Mr. Not So Ordinary”

Heed got a chance to connect with the young virtuoso in a loft studio centered in the heart of North Hollywood, CA. Much to our delight, he arrived by himself — ready to work.
