Haiti – Is “Lifted Up”

For the citizens of Haiti, January 12, 2010 probably started the same as any other. Markets opening, people joking and laughing, just making their way through the day. But then, in the late afternoon, the ground began to shake. Buildings shuddered loose of their foundations, sending legs and feet in fast motion through the streets, voices shouting and wailing, families counting their numbers. In only a minute’s time, the initial quake subsided, but Haiti’s horizon had drastically changed.
